Central Hong Kong Maritime Museum｜Dr Steven Chow ’s “Maritime Memories” Exhibition Set to open at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum With Free Admission for Students

Dr Steven Chow and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum present 47 diorama models showcasing significant maritime events from the last century that illustrate the interaction between humans and the sea. Generously supported by the Koo Kou Ming Charitable Foundation, Lee Wai Lee Foundation Limited and LGT Private Banking, the exhibition will run from 5 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. Students can enjoy free admission upon presenting a valid student ID.  Schools and non-government organisations can register for free group visits through Hong Kong Maritime Museum website, and remark in the application to visit 'Maritime Memories' exhibition.

Marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, the exhibition includes important moments from the war, serving as both a historical reflection and a reminder of the human sacrifice to establishing peace. Other models relating to post-war activities are closely connected to Dr Chow’s personal life and interests. The exhibition includes famous ships and events, such as RMS Titanic and the passenger-liner Queen Elizabeth that became the Hong Kong owned Seawise University. This collection gives visitors the opportunity to experience Dr Chow’s passion for model-making with his intricate eye for detail to bring the past to life for a new generation.
